First-time guests decide a lot in their first few minutes: Where do I go? Where do my kids go? Is this place expecting me? Good signage answers those questions before anyone has to ask. Use this checklist to walk your building like a guest.
Entrance and lobby
- A welcome or logo sign that's visible as soon as the doors open
- A "New here?" or next-steps sign pointing to your welcome or connect area
- Directional signs to worship, kids, restrooms and the café
Kids ministry
- A kids ministry sign that parents can spot from the lobby
- Clear check-in signage
- Room signs by age or class so volunteers and parents find the right door
Worship space and stage
- Stage lettering or a logo backdrop that looks good on camera
- Scripture or mission-statement wall lettering
Giving, connecting and prayer
NFC tap signs let guests tap their phone to open your giving page, a digital connection card or a prayer request form. There's no app to download. They work well on welcome tables, seat backs and the café counter. See our Tap to Give church signs.
Plan it as one system
Signs look best when they share the same fonts, colors and materials. If you can't do everything at once, start with the entrance and kids area, then add the rest in phases.
Send us photos of your building and your logo, and we'll help you plan it. Request a free quote or visit our Churches & Ministries page.
